Another game where he really had very little to do, will be a bit unhappy about the loss of the clean sheet but that's not on him

I very much enjoyed the bits where he clattered Anthony Gordon, because who among us doesn't want to clatter Anthony Gordon?

Looked much more assured than in midweek, but Newcastle barely threatened all night

Defensively sound, dangerous as always from set-pieces and his header brought about the early own goal

Really solid again, and got his first goal of the season, adding to our set-piece tally

Really helped us control the tempo of the game, some of his passing was outstanding, not least the one for Martinelli ahead of the second goal

Kept winning the ball high up the pitch in the first half, corners were dangerous, gets an assist for the Kiwior goal and made 4 key passes.

Picked up an early booking, which maybe inhibited him a little but led the press with real energy as always

Another brilliant goal, scored at a time when it was really useful – it basically killed the game

Even though he missed that early second half chance, he scored, got an assist, and his movement caused Newcastle problems all night. Won more aerials than any other player on the pitch

Sharper than midweek, his movement was really good for the second goal, as was the cut-back which made the chance for Havertz.

Came on for Martinelli, but at that point the game was won
