After Inter's bright start, really had little to do in terms of saves. Beaten from the spot.

Solid, not really troubled by Inter's attackers

Handled their forwards well, particularly Thuram when he came on

His booking was absurd, but defended well, and had a second half header cleared off the line

Had some impressive moments going forward, solid in possession on the left hand side

Kept things ticking pretty well in midfield

Unlucky to concede the penalty, not sure what he's supposed to do with his arms, but overall still looks a little off the level required. Probably should have had a penalty when the keeper fisted him in the face.

Our most dangerous player on the night. His hold up play was excellent, had one effort brilliantly saved and another superbly blocked. On another night he scores a couple. Went off after a clash of heads left him bleeding.

19 crosses from that left hand side, always available for the outlet but Inter dealt well with most of them

13 crosses from his side, resulting in 5 key passes, but we lacked the bite inside their box

Another disappointing display, couldn't contribute anything of note in the opposition half

Came on, added a bit of zip in their half, but bar one blocked shot didn't threaten

Busy enough, a late turn and shot showed what he's capable of – another one where perhaps he could have used more time?
