Despite the result, he had to make a number of important stops, mostly from long-range efforts. Picked up his customary yellow for timewasting just 7 minutes into the second half.
Excellent assist for Martinelli's opener, looked very composed on the ball and boiled some piss with a series of slow throw-ins. Thumbs up.

Not his usual swashbuckling performance - probably by design - but generally solid. Will be annoyed that he got outmuscled/outfoxed by Inacio for the Sporting goal.
Kept Viktor Gyokeres in his pocket until going off with an injury late on and rubbed the Swede's face in it when he co-opted the striker's celebration after netting a trademark header. Well done, big man.
You sensed he took the Gyokeres challenge personally and subsequently produced a pitch-perfect performance.

The Ghanaian is enjoying his best run of form in an Arsenal shirt. Looked like he was taking the piss with some of his passes which seemed to squeeze through even the narrowest of gaps.

For a man who often makes football look very easy, he always looks very sweaty and tired. Just an observation, not a criticism. We're taking half a mark off for a wild swipe of a shot in the first half, otherwise faultless.

I love you. Please stay fit and do this every week.

At times in that first half, it felt like he was deliberately toying with Ignacio and Araujo. A very tidy assist for Havertz and a converted penalty saw him awarded the Man of the Match award by Uefa. Who are we to argue?
Started the rout thanks to clever movement in the box and was a useful outlet on the left despite the majority of Arsenal's attacks coming down the right.
Scored his eighth goal of the season and 100th of his club career on his return to the starting lineup. Was a general physical menace that clearly appreciates the Odegaard-Saka link-up play.

Clearly desperate to make an impact and did so with a smartly taken header when Merino's strike rebounded to him.

Caused plenty of attacking mischief in the closing stages but also put in a shift defensively, stealing the ball on a couple of occasions.

Probably disappointed not to start but was tidy in the final 20 minutes and underlined goal threat with fierce strike that led to Trossard's goal.

Didn't have too much to do in the 12 minutes he was on the pitch.
A late sub for Gabriel, he wasn't really on long enough to rate. That said, he did look like a bit of a carthorse when Gyokeres ran at him and was lucky the Swede hit the post.
10/10 - to whatever glue Francisco Trincão uses for the little beard he bought on the internet.
