Nobody's happy with the ref tonight but I do think Timber got a bit lucky to avoid a yellow in that first 30 mins

Mostly did fine alongside Saliba

Very good again, created the Martinelli chance with a brilliant pass, kept Hakimi pretty quiet overall

I think he got sucked in for their goal, leaving Dembele the space to shoot from the edge of the box, but otherwise a really positive performance and made Trossard's chance with a great run

Had an early second half header ruled out for offside, linked play really well whether he was in our half or theirs

I don't know what's going on with the captain, but on nights as big as this, we need much more from him

I think he really should score that chance late in the first half, and while it is a good save, we need to be more clinical in those moments. Skied another late chance well over. Must do better.

The booking was understandable because he kicked the ball in frustration, but the award of the free kick against him was very soft and he would have been through. Gives him something to manage carefully in the second leg
