Kicking an issue but made some really impressive and important saves

Definitely not back to his best yet but nice to see him driving forward to support the attack

Supported White well when Newcastle broke down that flank. Subbed at half-time

Really impressive performance. Consistently read the danger, aggressive, solid in the air. Won all 4 of his tackles, made 4 blocks and completed 10 clearances

Quiet first half but, like the team, a much more positive impact after the break

Too many touches when Arsenal were struggling. Made a couple of important defensive interventions but not always switched on

Not as involved as usual after returning from injury but boy can he strike a ball

Very lively in patches - signs of his best simmering under the surface - worked hard and teed up Rice for the goal

Not as heavily involved as you'd like but won the ball back for the goal and came to life a bit more after that, still not looking 100% fit

Looked to make things happen, drifting to the flanks and taking players on

Rotated with Trossard nicely, a real threat on the break and looks so much sharper after his injury compared to his early season form

Replaced Saliba at half-time, immediately gave Arsenal a bit more impetus. Front-footed defending and some off the cuff play on the ball

Great to see him return. Didn't look sharp - unsurprising - but 10/10 because he's recovered from surgery quickly and we've missed him
