Might sound weird on a day we lost, but I thought this was by far his best defensive performance since his arrival. Front footed, and really switched on

The best of our midfielders, tried to drive and make things happen but decision making wasn't always where you'd want it

He's a player in the spotlight right now, and performances like this one won't do anything to make that any less bright. Made one great defensive intervention but gave us nothing in attack

Strikers depend on service, he got little, but his all round play was not at the level you need in games like this

Came on for Saliba, did really well, wasn't flustered at all by Liverpool or Anfield. Promising

Didn't come on soon enough in my opinion, but couldn't really influence things

A debut to forget, probably, but like Odegaard I felt he should have been on sooner. He should have taken that shot earlier when he got into their box.
