Couple of low fuss saves and swept up well. In truth, he didn't have too much to do, thanks to those in front of him. Still not conceded from open play this season.

Spent a lot of time in the centre of the pitch, but felt like he didn't see that much of the ball. Took a heavy kick in the dying stages, hopefully that's not too sore.
Wore the captain's armband and was a colossus at the back. Treated his opponents like they were nothing more than flies to be swatted away.

Is it too early to offer this boy a new deal? What a signing. Another complete performance - won his duels, tidy on the ball, looked to be the calmest player on the pitch at times.
Very solid defensively and some nice touches to release Madueke. Almost looked like he was able to close out the game in second gear.

Kept things ticking over and wasn't afraid to get involved in the rough and tumbel, pretty low-key performance though overall.

Some nice touches in the first half and won a lot of second balls/ duels throughout. Moved to number 10 when Gyokeres went off, and tested Simon with a header. Also suffered a nasty clash of heads.

Looked half asleep in the first half and rode his luck when on a booking, but came alive after the break, as if his coffee suddenly kicked in. Sweats a lot.

Had to battle to get into the game on his Champions League debut. Not sure coming off the left into a crowded midfield really worked for him. Subbed off for Martinelli on 70 mins.

Slow start but eventually became the main outlet for the Gunners, lots of probing but not a lot of end product. All the same, his pace keeps defenders on the back foot.

Some heavy touches early on, then a couple of charges down the left - like one of the Pamplona bulls. One shot on target, three headers wide/over and a nasty clash of heads. Not his night and hooked on 65.

Probably didn't think his ball over the top for Martinelli would result in an assist, but he'll take it - his second in two games off the bench. Then a very tidy finish to seal the win. Can't ask for more than that.
A fine riposte to all those who've written him off. Was on the pitch for 36 seconds when he found the net following a solo counter-attack that saw him carry the ball half the length of the pitch with three touches. Full of confidence, he then produced a nifty assist for Trossard after taking on his marker. Very pleased for him.

A Champions League and Arsenal debut, but not on the pitch long enough to warrant a rating.

Another stoppage time sub, brought on to waste time and see out the win. Can call himself an Arsenal player with his two minute debut.
10/10 - Mikel Arteta's substitutions. What a difference it makes having strength in depth!
