Made a couple of brave saves, but came for the ball ahead of their equaliser and got caught by Brobbey's acrobatics
Nobody in an Arsenal shirt made more tackles, started to overlap well in the second half
Missed a great first half chance to equalise but fired over from the penalty spot
Seemed unhappy with the Sunderland equaliser but there was no foul to complain about

Almost won it at the end with a header the keeper saved well

So unlucky not to have scored, a shot that cannoned back off the crossbar. His yellow card was ridiculous.

As always he worked really hard, and won the ball well in the build up to our first goal, but I think he should have done more to challenge for the header for the Sunderland opener. Then let Ballard run off him to score.

Had 4 shots, but it does feel like he doesn't feel 100% comfortable when operating in the Odegaard position. Involved in the equaliser.

Scored an absolutely brilliant goal which should have won us the game. I did wonder why he didn't try and go outside his full-back at all, it's usually a good source of corners

Set up a great chance for Saliba, but don't underestimate the quality of the finish for our first goal. On his wrong foot he had so little to aim at but did it with extreme precision

Got clattered early on, but stayed on and got the assist for Saka's goal. Only a late block denied him a winner in the final seconds.

Not on long enough to rate. Strange he was the only sub, and I think we invited late pressure with this change. Not a criticism of the player at all, btw, but could we have made changes to help us play more of the game in their half?
0/10 - Everyone talking about Granit Xhaka pre-game when it was another former Gunner who came back to haunt us with a goal and an assist
