Had a good first half, helped us control things, and it was his ball through to Gyokeres that led to the penalty in the first half. Didn't look happy to come off just before the hour, but after a lot of injuries, and with big games to play, it made sense

Better from him in this game, tidy on the ball, didn't take too many risks, and had one effort curl just wide

Did his defensive work very well, made one very good second half recovery, but going forward a bit blunt despite being solid in possession

Showed better strength and hold up play this evening than in previous games, which is a real positive, and absolutely smashed home his penalty

Took a while to get into it as we tried to wrestle some control back in the 2nd half, but did grow into the game, showed some lovely skills and directness and should have had a penalty when he was fouled in their box but for some reason VAR overturned it.

Individually none of three subs we used late were outstanding, but they helped us get control back – where Atletico had 70% possession, they did their part in turning it into 64% for us
