Didn't have much to do in terms of saves, but safe hands when needed from Villa crosses/set-pieces

Did overlap a few times, but without the same success as last week, looked a bit untidy on the ball which is unusual for him

Solid in possession, not overly tested defensively, but seemed to pick up a hamstring injury late in the game.

Made more clearances than any other player, also made John McGinn lose his mind towards the end

His movement is just so good in the opposition half, for the second game in a row got an assist for the game's first goal (and in this case, the only goal)

Made more passes than anyone else, made more tackles than anyone else

Very tidy on the ball, but he felt a bit risk averse with his passing this evening

Curled a free kick not far wide, but didn't quite find the same connections with Saka and White as he did last week

Found it tough going tonight, not helped by a really soft booking and Villa's attempts to get him a second yellow card. Taken off at the break.

Two PL games this season, two goals - once again he was on hand to tuck home from close range

Ran himself into the ground, was offside a bit too often, but he worked really hard and didn't get the free kicks he should have either. Second full 90 of the season, and the lack of Gyokeres in either game so far is notable.

Came on for Tzolis at the break, involved in the goal, and perhaps exorcised the ghosts of Villa Park last season

He's such a silky footballer, some of his control in tight spaces is superb

Some of the passes his played showed exactly why he's been brought in – the ability to unpick defences is going to be so important. Made one great defensive intervention too, and should have had a penalty at the end but, you know, Jarred Gillet.
