That penalty save was brilliant, he made a superb save, and when he came to get the ball, he always got the ball. What more can you ask of your keeper in a game like this?

Dear Universe, can we please have at least a short period of time when we have both Ben White and Jurrien Timber available?

I think the penalty is quite soft, particularly when there was something similar on Calafiori in the first half, but defensively really did well against Brobbey who is a menace and so physical. Also was having none of Granit Xhaka's bullshit!

Don't know why he was booked, but made more clearances than anyone else, won 7 aerials, and was in the heart of the battle all night long

Not quite as eye-catching going forward, but played his part in the clean sheet

Only Gabriel made more clearances, also made 3 key passes including one brilliant one to set up a chance for Saka which he should have scored, and the one from which Bruno put us ahead

A couple of iffy moments but generally fine, taken off at half-time for Bruno and it's hard to argue that decision was wrong!

Really good again, 5 key passes, defensively excellent, stepped up again in a difficult atmosphere

Struggled a bit tonight, some basic stuff just didn't happen but worked hard

Got himself a goal at the end, but once again the finishing needs improvement. He should score from the Rice pass and when set up by Odegaard the keeper made a decent save but you expect him to do better even if it's on his right foot

Tireless running, but he didn't make the most of a first half chance set up by Odegaard, and in the second he tried a pass when he should have put his foot through it.

What a way to score your first Arsenal goal, and as a former Newcastle player, what a place to score it!

An encouraging 45 minutes, denied a goal by a marginal offside too

Bonus

10/10 - the way this team is so fucking resolute. How many Arsenal teams in the past have we seen who would eventually crumble in a game like that, with a crowd like that, with opposition like that, with a ref like that? Top marks lads.
